Dustin Keith Bumgarner, 33, of Marion, Iowa, passed away on Tuesday, February 20, 2024, at Dennis & Donna Oldorf Hospice House of Mercy in Hiawatha, Iowa. A Memorial Service will be held at 2 p.m. on Saturday, March 2, 2024, at Murdoch Funeral Home & Cremation Service in Marion, where the family will greet friends from 1 until 2 p.m.

Dustin was born on July 11, 1990, in Cedar Rapids, Iowa, the son of Jerry Bumgarner and Christie Hook. He was a 2009 graduate of Linn-Mar High School and went on to attend the University of Northern Iowa and Kirkwood Community College. Dustin and his longtime girlfriend, Morgan Vest, have built a truly beautiful family together, cherishing the bond they share with their two wonderful children. He was a huge Packers, Hawkeyes, and Braves Fan. Dustin will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved him.

Dustin is survived and lovingly remembered by his significant other, Morgan Vest of Marion; daughter, Sophie Bumgarner; son, Jordy Bumgarner; mother, Christie Hook of Cedar Rapids, Iowa; father, Jerry Bumgarner of Solon, Iowa; two sisters, Destini Hoth (Wade Leslie) of Marion, and Jenelle (Mike) Jensen of Des Moines, Iowa; brother, Austin (Amy) Bumgarner of Cedar Rapids; paternal grandmother, Betty Bumgarner of Central City, Iowa; many aunts and uncles; nieces and nephews, Madison Hoth, Alexa Hoth, Tinsley Leslie, Gannon Leslie, Hunter Bumgarner, and Emmett Jensen; great-niece and -nephew, Aria and Zamir; two cats, Sprinkles and Mamba; and countless extended family members and friends.

He was preceded in death by his grandparents, John Hook and Keith Bumgarner; two aunts, Cindy Chamberlain and Sheri Hook; and cousin, Jordan Powers.
