Milton (Milt) Eugene Gade of Cedar Rapids, died on February 18, 2024, at Northbrook Care Center. He was born on March 26, 1941. Two children were born to Milt and his first wife.
In 1985, he married Mary Alberts. Together, they enjoyed many good times with family and friends. Milt worked in maintenance at General Mills for many years. Upon his retirement, the couple moved to Colorado, fulfilling a lifelong dream of Mary’s. Their new home featured a beautiful view and ever-changing view of Pike’s Peak.
Milt will be remembered as a devoted husband, beloved grandfather, and dedicated caregiver to Mary. Survivors include his stepchildren, Jim (Julie Carley) Alberts, David (Christy) Alberts, and Laurie (Larry) Fields and their children. Milt considered his grandchildren (and later great-grandchildren) as his own. He was a gentle and loving grandpa to grandchildren Nate (Courtney) Alberts, Megann (Jake) Wolford, Kate (Scott) Williams, and Cameron Fields; Great-grandchildren Addie and Sawyer Alberts, Jane and Emily Wolford, Lydia, Emmett, and Jack Williams were welcomed with joy and loved greatly.
Milt’s remains were cremated at his request, and a family celebration of life will be held at a later date. To express condolences, please visit www.iowacremation.com under obituaries.
