Jeffrey F. Taylor, 60, of Waterloo, passed away on February 10, 2024 after a sudden cardiac arrest. Jeff was born in Monticello on September 30, 1963, and was the son of Jack and Wilma (Tralau) Taylor. He grew up in Wyoming and was a 1982 graduate of Midland High School. He was a 1986 graduate of the University of Iowa School of Music.
Jeff is survived by his sister and brother, Suzanne Willman and Craig Taylor of Wyoming, his nieces and nephews, Gail Willman (John Harris), Jamie (Andy) Tomas, Cory Taylor, and Justin (Nikki) Taylor, and his great-nieces and -nephews, Madison (Cody), Nathan, Maylin, Mason, and Kaiden, 4 step-nieces and -nephews, along with many friends and colleagues. He is also survived by his canine companion Maxwell and was preceded by Jazz and Brinkley.
A gathering of family and friends celebrating his life will be held from 3 to 6 P.M. Monday, February 19, 2024, at Calkins Square in Wyoming, IA. A private family burial will be at Buckhorn Cemetery, rural Maquoketa, IA. The Carson Celebration of Life Center in Maquoketa is caring for the family.
In lieu of flowers, his family requests memorial contributions be made to Fine Arts programs in your local schools, the Waterloo, and Cedar Falls community theaters, Cedar Falls municipal band or pet shelters.
