Burlington to open store in Coralville in May
Off-price retailer will be in former Bed Bath Beyond building
CORALVILLE — A Burlington store is slated to open this spring in Coralville.
May 10 is the target date for the company — formerly known as the Burlington Coat Factory — to open in the former Bed Bath and Beyond store at 2515 Corridor Way, Suite 7, a company spokeswoman said.
The store expects to hire 65 to 75 people, the spokeswoman said.
The chain opened a store in Cedar Rapids in September 2016 in the Westdale development.
The Burlington stores sell women’s dresses, suits, coats, sportswear, juniors, accessories, menswear, family footwear, children and baby’s clothing, along with home decor and gift items.
Burlington Stores is a national off-price department store retailer and a division of Burlington Coat Factory Warehouse Corp., with more than 1,000 stores in 40 states and Puerto Rico. Its corporate headquarters is in Burlington Township, N.J.
In 2007, it was acquired by Bain Capital, and went public again in 2013. It is the nation’s third largest off-price retailer after TJX Companies and Ross Stores.
