Robin Reneè Trimble, 69, passed away Thursday, February 8, 2024, at Virginia Gay Hospital, Vinton, following a brief illness. Per Robin’s wishes, there will be no services. A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date. Van Steenhuyse-Teahen Funeral Home is caring for Robin and her family.
Robin was born June 28, 1954, in Long Beach, CA, the daughter of Horace and Margaret Nadine (Thompson) Roach. She attended school in Lakewood, CA. On April 26, 1997, Robin was united in marriage to Paul Trimble at the Urbana Christian Church. Throughout her working career, Robin cleaned homes, worked at various group homes, provided care for the residents at Virginia Gay Nursing & Rehab, and thrived on her “best job”, being a mom and grandma.
Robin had many “loves”, a few of those being her “hippie years”, spending time at the beach, enjoying her natural habitat, spending time with her sisters, and baking cookies and brownies for her favorite people, her grandchildren.
Left to cherish Robin’s memory are her husband, Paul; daughter, Joie (Jeremy) Braden; two sons: Duane Trimble (Ben) and Adam Trimble; five granddaughters: Mariah (Drew) Schultz, Kylie Cooper, Paityn Cooper (Dakota Truesdell), Sydney Cooper, and Ryleigh Trimble; grandson, Carter Trimble; five great-grandchildren: Erin, Sawyer, Beau, Kyrae, and Jude; two sisters: Mardine Smith and Terri Stroud; brother, Harold (Renea) Roach; and her special dog, Cali.
She was preceded in death by her parents and sister, Sharon (David) Proo.
Memorials may be directed to Virginia Gay Nursing & Rehab, 502 N. 9th Avenue, Vinton, IA, 52349.
