Ronald E. Augustine II passed away Monday, January 29, 2024, following an extended illness, at his home with his wife of 52 years by his side.
Ron was born on July 15, 1939, to Ronald and Garnet (Clemens) Augustine. He was a 1957 graduate of Franklin High School in Cedar Rapids. Upon graduation, he enlisted into the US Navy and served in the Pacific Rim from 1957-1967. On August 21, 1971, he married Patricia Kellogg Webber.
Ron loved to travel, do crossword puzzles, go to
local dirt track racing, watching NASCAR and having coffee at the Pizza Place in Center Point, and he loved all his cats.
He held several different positions throughout his career and retired from Branded Apparel in Marion.
Survivors include his wife Patricia (Trish), his brother, Michael, nephews, Craig and Dike, and a niece Dawn.
A visitation will be held at the Cedar Memorial Park Chapel Stateroom on Thursday, February 1, 2024, from 5 to 8 PM. A funeral service with military rites will be held at the Cedar Memorial Park Chapel Stateroom on Friday, February 2, 2024, at 11 AM with the Certified Celebrant, Dr. James Coyle officiating. Please dress casually.
