Barbara Jeanne Vondracek, 90, of Cedar Rapids, died Sunday, January 21, 2024 at Heritage Specialty Care following a short illness. At this time there will be no services. Teahen Funeral Home and Cremation are serving the family.
Barbara is survived by her two sons, Thomas (Laurie) of Cedar Rapids and George Jr. of Corpus Christi, TX; and grandson, Ryan Vondracek.
She was preceded in death by her husband, George Sr.; sisters, Beverly (Jake) Griggs and infant sister, Betty; and brothers, Richard and James Hannon.
Barbara was born on September 20, 1933 in Moline, IL, the daughter of James and Florence Larson Hannon. She married George “Gus” Vondracek Sr. and was a wonderful homemaker. Barbara was a member of St. Ludmila Catholic Church.
Barbara enjoyed cooking, word finds and spending time with her grandson. She was an avid St. Louis Cardinals baseball and Iowa Hawkeyes fan. She loved animals of all kinds and will be deeply missed.
