Eldon Duane Scott, 79, of Anamosa/Cedar Rapids, passed away Saturday, March 17, 2018, at St. Luke's Hospice surrounded by his loving family. A Celebration of Life will be held from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. Sunday, March 25, at Lowe Park, Marion.
Eldon Scott was born to Iris Kress Scott and George Scott on Nov. 21, 1938, in Quasqueton, Iowa. He worked for Laborers 43, where he retired early after a stroke.
Survivors include his wife, Evelyn; children, Laura Lee (Mike) Jones, Joe (Tammy) Scott and Anglie (Matt) Weldy; stepchildren, Steve (Jan), Terry (Pam), Arnie (Lori), Dan (M.J.) Rushford, Sheree Garside and Dawn (Dan) Chapman; sister, Zelda (Gene) Powers; sister-in-law, Cheryl Scott; grandchildren, Christy Lee, Eric, Ashley, Tommy, Cory and Bobbi; great-grandchildren; along with several nieces and nephews.
Eldon was preceded in death by his parents; son, Guy Thomas Scott; first wife, Mary; sister, Inez Renard; brother, Tom Scott; and brother-in-law, Bill Renard.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be directed to the American Heart Association.
