Susan Nost, 81, of Lisbon, Iowa, passed away on Wednesday, January 17, 2024. Visitation: 3:00 – 5:00 p.m. on Sunday, January 21, 2024, at Stewart Baxter Funeral & Memorial Services, Mount Vernon. Funeral Service: 11:00 a.m. on Monday, January 22, 2024, at the United Methodist Church, Mount Vernon. Burial will follow at Lisbon Cemetery.
Susan was born September 29, 1942, in La Crosse, Wisconsin, daughter of Neil and Irene (Schmidt) McHugh. She married John Nost on October 2, 1982. She worked as a secretary at Rockwell Goss.
She enjoyed playing euchre, getting her nails done, boating, going out to eat, and shopping.
Susan is survived by her husband, John Nost; daughter, Kelly Erickson; step-daughter, Mary (John) Hale; grandchildren, Sarena (Jose) Delgado, Vanessa Vizcarra, Adam (Jacqueline) Hale, Molly Hale, and Alex Hale; great-grandchildren, Nolan Hale, Case Hale, Reagan Delgado, Greyson Delgado, and Raevyn Delgado; and a niece, Lori.
She is preceded in death by her parents, daughter, Kristine Brown; and brother, Neil McHugh.
