Ivan "Paul" Yeisley, 90, of Springville, died Saturday May 19, 2018, at Northbrook Manor in Cedar Rapids. Memorial services will be held at noon Sunday, June 3, at Goettsch Funeral Home, Anamosa, where the family will greet friends from 10 a.m. until the time of service. Burial will be held privately at a later date.

Ivan Paul Yeisley was born March 29, 1928, in Paralta, Iowa, the son of Ivan and Elizabeth (Holubar) Yeisley. He attended school in Springville. He served his country in the U.S. Army during the Korean War in Korea. Upon his discharge, he married Delores Marie Stanbro in March 1953. They later divorced. He worked on and operated the family's Century Farm and also worked as a railroad switchman for the Milwaukee Road Railroad, was a welder, did roofing and worked as a truck driver.
Those remembering him are his children, Deborah Lea (Kenton) Hatcher, Marion, Craig Arthur (Barb) Yeisley, Central City, Paula Maria (Phillip) Miller, Cedar Rapids, Lisa Ann McConaughy, Springville, and Lori Jeanne (Larry) Wittenburg, Springville; a daughter-in-law, Terri Yeisley, Des Moines; his grandchildren, Kenton (Angie) Hatcher II, Jeremiah Hatcher, Kendra Hatcher, Tara (Ruben Abril) Gassmann, Amy (Brian) Anderson, Josh Yeisley, Jami Masters, Travis Miller, Elizabeth (Paul) Martinez, Stephanie McConaughy, Nichole (Andy Hatch) Wittenburg and Madison Wittenburg; great-grandchildren, Brendan Hatcher, Aiden Hatcher, Anna Hatcher, Lauren Gassmann, Mason Gassmann, Mya Tabor, Savanah Tabor, Isabelle Anderson, Malachi Anderson, Liam Anderson, Avery Anderson, Austin Yeisley, Jade Yeisley, Zander Yeisley, Skylar Yeisley, Dylan Masters, Benjamin Martinez, Sebastian Martinez, Morgan Martinez, Logan McConaughy and Laila McConaughy; and brothers, James (Helen) Yeisley, Springville, Orland Yeisley, Springville, Mervin (Opal) Yeisley, Cedar Rapids, and Steve (Deb) Yeisley, Springville.
He was preceded in death by his parents; his former wife, Delores; a son, Thomas Yeisley; and a brother, Phillip Yeisley.
Paul will be remembered as a very hardworking man who loved his family and would do anything he had to do to raise his children and grandchildren.
