Theresa Mary Huber, our beloved mom, grandmother, great-grandmother, mother-in-law, sister-in-law & aunt, passed away on January 12, 2024 at the age of 91. Visitation will be held from 4-7 p.m. on Friday, January 19, 2024, at Cedar Memorial Chapel of Memories Stateroom in Cedar Rapids. On Saturday, January 20, the family will greet friends and family for one hour before the funeral mass at 10 am at Saint Matthew’s Church in Cedar Rapids. Burial beside her husband Earl will be at a later date.
Daughter of John and Mary Kriener, Theresa was born June 10, 1932 in Waucoma, IA. She married Earl Huber on May 1, 1951. They lived on a farm outside Decorah, IA before moving to Cedar Rapids while raising 6 children. She retired from H&R Block after over 50 years of preparing taxes. She was active in church, frequently providing flowers from her garden, and preparing flower arrangements for hospital patients at Mercy Hospital. She enjoyed gardening, playing cards, domestic travel, her children and grandchildren, and was an avid reader. She was preceded in death by her husband Earl, and is survived by her children, Earl David (Paula), Barbara (Lee) Carlson, Bonnie (John) Lepley, Mary, Kenneth (Jodi), and Brian; 6 grandchildren; and numerous great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren.
