Dorothy Frances Wolfe, 92, of Marion passed away January 8, 2024. Visitation: 4-7 PM, Wednesday, January 10, 2024, at Cedar Memorial Chapel Stateroom. Funeral Service: 11:00 AM, Thursday, January 11, 2024, at Cedar Memorial Chapel of Memories. Interment: Cedar Memorial Park Cemetery.
Dorothy was born on February 20, 1931, in Cedar Rapids, Iowa, the daughter of Myron and Marian (Hoag) Booze. She graduated from McKinley High School in Cedar Rapids. She was united in marriage to Charles Wolfe on March 17, 1951, in Cedar Rapids. Growing up, she was a Candy Striper at St. Luke’s Hospital. Dorothy worked as a secretary at Collins Radio, receptionist at the Penny Saver, and was also an Avon lady. She enjoyed writing poetry and was a member of the Iowa Poetry Day Association. When her boys were young, she was a Cub Scout Den Mother. At one time, she was a Violinist for the Marion Symphony Orchestra.
Survivors include her sons Clint Wolfe and Eric (Donna) Wolfe, all of Marion, and brother Don (Erika) Booze of Toddville. She is also survived by close family friends Ralph and Brett Toms and Jenny Sackett.
Preceding her in death were her parents, husband Charles in 2013, brother John Booze, and sister Faye Bouck.
