Thomas Long, of Cedar Rapids, died on his 71st birthday, May 22, 2018. A private gathering of family and friends will be held at a later date. Arrangements are with Stewart Baxter Funeral & Memorial Services, Cedar Rapids.
He is survived by his daughters, Charlotte (Ben) Yuza and Jolene (John) Ralls; seven grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; 10 siblings; and longtime friend, Fred Knapp.
Tom was born May 22, 1947, in Vinton, Iowa, the son of Algy and Josephine Long. He served his country in the U.S. Army in Vietnam. Tom worked as a machinist and a screen printer. He was a member of the American Legion, and loved fishing and taking road trips with Fred. Most of all, Tom loved his family and shooting pool.
Tom was preceded in death by his parents and two siblings.
