Christi (Shaffer) Smalley, 54, of Cedar Rapids, passed away on Friday, June 22, 2018, at Mercy Medical Center, Cedar Rapids. Graveside service: 11 a.m. Tuesday, June 26, at Anderson Cemetery, Swisher. Arrangements by Murdoch-Linwood Funeral Home & Cremation Service, Cedar Rapids.
Christi was born on Sept. 8, 1963, in Cedar Rapids, Iowa, the daughter of Joan Parsons and Charles Shaffer. She married Nelson Smalley on May 22, 2004, in Cedar Rapids. Christi was a pet lover and also enjoyed the Lifetime Movie Network. She loved her family and grandkids very much.
Christi is survived by her husband, Nelson Smalley; son, Ryan (Trisha) Furnish; four grandchildren; brothers, Rocky, Jeff and Brad Wicher; sister, Kellyo Cryder; and many special friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents.
