Eva Eileen Freed (League), 88, formerly of Cedar Rapids, died Saturday, June 2, 2018, peacefully surrounded by her loving family in Wylie, Texas. The family will greet friends and loved ones from 4 to 8 p.m. Friday, June 8, at Murdoch Funeral Home & Cremation Service in Marion. Burial: Iowa Veterans Cemetery, Van Meter.
Eileen is survived by her three children, Beverly Foster of Archbald, Pa., Jeffory (Debbie) Freed of Des Moines and K.C. (Tiffany) Freed of Wylie, Texas; eight grandchildren; six-plus great-grandchildren; one brother, Ken League; and a sister, Delores (Dick) Campbell.
Eileen was preceded in death by her husband, Merle; parents; and 10 brothers.
