Kenneth McMillan Jr., 81, passed away Friday, July 13, 2018, at the English Valley Care Center, North English. The family will receive friends from 9 to 11 a.m. Wednesday, July 18, at First Presbyterian Church, Williamsburg. Funeral services will follow at 11 a.m. with the Rev. Dan Jessop officiating. Burial will be in Pilot Grove Cemetery, Williamsburg. A memorial fund has been established. Kloster Funeral Home, Marengo, is assisting the family with arrangements.
Ken is survived by his wife, Thelma; his children, Angela Durkee (John Marich) of Mount Auburn, Anthony (Bonnie) McMillan of Iowa City, Matthew McMillan of Summerville, N.C., Timothy (Connie) McMillan of Parnell and Mitch (Dawn) McMillan of Williamsburg; three stepsons, Doug Burkle, Eric (Shirlean) Burkle and Jeffrey (Kristeen) Burkle, all of Cedar Rapids; 17 grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren. Also surviving are stepbrothers, Albert (Lois) Ray of Morilton, Ark., Robert (Carol) Ray of Nema, Ark., and Carroll (Shirley) Ray of Gilcrest, Colo.; and a special sister-in-law, Marjory Ray of Nixa, Mo.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Kenneth Felix McMillan and Lois Fern Van Orsdal McMillan; a daughter, Cynthia Heims; a sister, Mary Dell Stice; and a stepbrother, Donald Ray.
