John Wilkes, 69, of Waukon, died Monday, July 23, 2018, at his home in Waukon.
Memorial services will be 5 p.m. Friday, July 27, at Our Lady of Mount Carmel Catholic Church in Lawler, with Father Aaron Junge presiding. Burial will be in the church cemetery.
There will be visitation after 4 p.m. Friday at the church.
John is survived by his wife, Charlet Wilkes, Waukon, Iowa; daughter, Michele (David) Mikkelsen, Waukon; son, Steven (Natasha) Wilkes, Waukon; grandchildren, Alaina, Cara and Hayden Mikkelsen and Brooklyn, Lillianna and Landon Wilkes; brothers, Richard (Marty) Wilkes, Maple Plain, Minn., Robert (Joyce) Wilkes, Cedar Rapids, Iowa, and Thomas (Mary) Wilkes, Decorah, Iowa; and in-laws, Allan (Betty) Franzen, Fredericksburg, Iowa, Bonnie (David) Kutz, Waterloo, Iowa, Janice (David) Bryne, Lawler, Iowa, Randy (Karen) Franzen, Lawler, Cheryl (Gary) Garluk, Mankato, Minn., Leon (Lori) Franzen, Fredericksburg, Iowa, Barb (Rick) Best, Waucoma, Iowa, and Bev (Leo) Dowd, New Hampton, Iowa.
