Cedar Rapids Police investigating armed bank robbery

CEDAR RAPIDS — The Cedar Rapids Police Department is seeking help identifying a suspect in an armed bank robbery that took place Wednesday morning, according to a news release from the department.
The robbery happened at about 9 a.m. at Cedar Rapids Bank and Trust, 5400 Council St NE. The robber, described as a white male, displayed a gun during the robbery, the release states.
The suspect is about five-feet, 10-inches tall, with a slender build. He was last seen wearing a gray or green coat, work gloves, a Hawkeye knit cap and a black mask. Anyone with information about the suspect is asked call the Cedar Rapids non-emergency hotline at 319-286-5491, or Linn County Crime Stoppers at 1-800-272-7463.
Police did not say how much money was stolen in the robbery.
