ANAMOSA — Lubben Vineyards & Wines is growing in Anamosa with its first tasting room location.
The winery closed on a land purchase of about 20 acres off Highway 151 in the northeast edge of Anamosa on Dec. 11. The future home of Lubben Wines will include a 6,000-square-foot event center, a wine tasting bar and production facility.
After construction, a grand opening for the new facility is anticipated for Memorial Day weekend.
Owners Dan and Judy Lubben started the winery in 2018. They currently have vineyards near Anamosa and Marion, but no tasting room — offering tastings by appointment.
Their High Brow line of reds and whites includes a variety of dry and sweet options.
