Frederick F. Bark, 95, of Solon, passed away on December 28, 2023, at the Solon Retirement Village. Funeral Services will be held 11 a.m. Thursday, January 4, 2024, at Solon United Methodist Church. Friends may visit with the family after 10 a.m. at the church on Thursday. Burial will take place with military honors at Oakland Cemetery in Solon. Brosh Chapel and The Avacentre in Solon is serving the family.
Frederick Francis was born on January 12, 1928, in Clarence, Iowa, the son of William J. Bark and Marie (Griem) Bark. After graduating from Clarence High School, he served his country during WWII in the United States Army. Fred married Jeanne Dresher on July 31, 1949 at Westminster Presbyterian Church in Cedar Rapids. He worked for 42 years at Collins Radio. He was a long-time member of Solon United Methodist Church. In his later years he enjoyed fishing and became an avid golfer.
Fred is survived by his wife Jeanne, children William (Laurie) Bark, Lynette (Gary) Kerslake, Jonathon (Colleen) Bark and Patricia Bark; nine grandchildren; 20 great grandchildren; and brother Ronald.
He is preceded in death by his parents and a brother Earl.
