ROBINS — Police here are asking the public’s help in identifying the man they say entered a Casey’s convenience store and robbed it at gunpoint Wednesday night.
The incident happened around 9:50 p.m. Wednesday when a man entered the store, at 990 Robins Square, and displayed a gun. The man left the store in an unknown direction with a black bag — possibly a garbage bag — with items taken from the store.
The Linn County Sheriff’s Office, Iowa State Patrol, Cedar Rapids Police and Hiawatha Police Departments all assisted Robins Police in the incident.
The suspect is a white male, between six feet and 6’3“ tall weighing about 155 to 170 pounds, police say. He was wearing tan or brown boots, gray pants and a dark blue hoodie and a camouflage ball cap. He was wearing green gloves and had a black COVID-style face mask covering his face.
Anyone with information that could help identify the suspect is asked to call Robins Police at (319) 393-8683.
