Jeannette Adele Husmann, 91, of Wyoming, Iowa, passed away Jan. 11, 2018, at St. Luke's Hospital in Cedar Rapids. She was born on July 8, 1926, in Andrew, Iowa, the daughter of Robert Clifford and Sabina Rockwell.
A memorial service will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Tuesday, Jan. 16, at Zion American Lutheran Church in Wyoming. Burial will be held at Wyoming Cemetery. Lahey and Dawson Funeral Services is assisting the family.
A longtime resident of Wyoming, she worked at Brandt Nursing Home and was the site manager of the Congregate Meals of Wyoming for many years. She enjoyed Rockwell reunions and gatherings with her friends, brothers and sisters.
She is survived by her husband, Alva; sons, Jim Boots of Monticello and Dennis (Maria) Boots of Monticello; daughters, Cheryl (Lyle) Gullickson of Kansas City, Mo., Barb (Steve) Burchett of Springfield, Mo., and Debbie Ellefson of Wyoming; nine grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; a sister, Ellen Newmarch of Iowa City; and a brother, Gerald Rockwell of Maquoketa.
She was preceded in death by her parents; two sisters, Vesta Moenk and Frances Rockwell; brother, Carroll Rockwell; and son-in-law, Nathan Ellefson.
