What to know: This is Iowa’s final non-conference tuneup before taking on the Big Ten for the final 17 games of the regular season.
Loyola has matched its win total from a year ago, when it was 6-24. The Ramblers have won four in a row, including a 77-74 victory over SIU Edwardsville on Monday in front of a home-record crowd of 3,747.
As far as common opponents go, Loyola lost to Cleveland State, 74-66, at home ... Iowa handled that Vikings squad, 104-75, Saturday in Des Moines.
Iowa’s Caitlin Clark leads the nation in scoring at 30.2 points per game and is second in 3-pointers per game (4.67). She is No. 9 all-time in NCAA Division-I career scoring (3,079 points), with Rachel Banham (3,093), Jerica Coley (3,107), Lorri Bauman (3,115) and Patricia Hoskins (3,122) next on the ladder.
Clark is 17th-all-time in assists (884) and 12th in 3-pointers (403).
This is the first meeting between the Hawkeyes and the Ramblers.
Loyola is shooting 38.7 percent from the floor and is led in scoring by 5-7 guard Alyssa Fisher at 13.1 points per game.
