James Edward Koss, 81, of Solon, passed away on Wednesday, Dec. 20, 2023, at the Dennis and Donna Oldorf Hospice House of Mercy, Hiawatha from a brief illness. Visitation will be 4 to 7 p.m. Wednesday, Jan. 3, 2024, at St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Solon. Funeral Mass will be 10:30 a.m. Thursday, Jan. 4, 2024, at St. Mary’s. Burial will follow in St. Bridget’s Cemetery–Nolan Settlement. Brosh Chapel and The Avacentre in Solon is in charge of arrangements.
