Memorial Mass will be held at 1 p.m. on Wednesday, Dec. 13, at Sacred Heart Catholic Church, 2215 Windsor Ave., Dubuque, IA 52001. Steve was born July 13, 1951, in Dubuque, Iowa, the son of W. Charles and Eileen (Brown) Tuegel. He graduated from Xavier High School in Dubuque, and then attended Kirkwood Community College for one year. Steve was united in marriage to Linda Brenner on August 19, 1978, in Browntown, Wis. He enjoyed being a custodian at Xavier High School in Cedar Rapids for many years. Steve was known as “Lucky” by a lot of the students.
Steve enjoyed reading, walking in the park, and volunteering for Meals on Wheels. He could talk to anyone and never met a stranger. This can be said about Steve without question: He was a good person. Steve always had a smile on his face. He will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him.
