Ernst chokes on her attempt to joke about ‘woke’

Recently, Iowa Sen. Joni Ernst was choking on a piece of food, and Sen. Rand Paul saved her with a Heimlich maneuver. Sen. Ernst took to X (formerly known as Twitter) shortly after to joke that she had choked on "woke policies." Senator, you could have used your platform to thank Senator Paul, or to recommend people be trained in first aid, or to discuss the value of the Heimlich maneuver. You didn't just make a joke in the moment; you took the time to post your vitriol on social media. You are a senator for everyone in Iowa, not just those whose policies you don't agree with. Try to have more class.
