What to know:
Iowa is coming off a 90-65 loss at Iowa State Thursday, three days after its 87-68 defeat at Purdue in its Big Ten opener.
The Hawkeyes shot 38.5 and 38.6 percent, respectively, in those two games.
Though Iowa lost by 25 points at Iowa State, it scored two more points than the Cyclones when sophomore guard Dasonte Bowen was on the court.
Michigan has lost its last three games, including its Big Ten opener, 78-75 to Indiana in Ann Arbor on Tuesday.
The Wolverines are led by sophomore guard Dug McDaniel, who averages 19.4 points and 4.9 assists. Senior Olivier Nkamhoua, a transfer from Tennessee, averages 17.0 points and 6.8 rebounds.
Iowa’s Payton Sandfort scored 24 of his career-high 26 points after halftime in his team’s 93-84 overtime win over Michigan in Iowa City last January.
Iowa swept its two-game series with Michigan last season and has won seven of its last nine games against the Wolverines in Iowa City.
Hunter Dickinson transferred from Michigan to Kansas after last season. Entering this weekend, he was averaging 20.1 points and 12.2 rebounds for the Jayhawks.
