Joyce Allyn Kuba, 86, of Cedar Rapids, Iowa, passed away on Dec. 1, 2023, at Mercy Medical Center, Cedar Rapids, Iowa. Visitation is 10 a.m. Saturday, Dec. 9, 2023, at Immaculate Conception Church, Cedar Rapids, Iowa. Funeral Mass: 11 a.m. Saturday, Dec.9, 2023, at the church, with Reverend Aaron Junge officiating. Burial: Czech National Cemetery. Stewart Baxter Funeral & Memorial Services, Cedar Rapids, Iowa.

Joyce Allyn Kuba was born on Aug. 12, 1937, in Cedar Rapids, Iowa, the daughter of Marvin and Matilda (Halupnik) Kuba.
Joyce graduated from Franklin High School in 1955. She continued her education at the University of Iowa obtaining a degree in Speech Pathology. Following graduation, she worked in various school districts around the country as a speech therapist. Joyce would then spend time traveling the world in Europe and Asia working as a speech therapist on U.S. military bases. She then returned to Cedar Rapids and became a Realtor until her retirement. Joyce loved to share her cooking with others (especially her Czech rohliky and butter cookies at holiday times), tend to her flower gardens, and volunteer at various nonprofits.
Joyce is survived by her brother, William Kuba; niece, Lisa (Ed) Willett; nephews, Matt (Kathy) Kuba, and Mike (Tammi) Kuba; great-nieces and great-nephews, Meghan, Jack, Ben, Erin, and Emily.
Joyce was preceded in death by her parents, and sister-in-law, Jan Kuba.
