Fork and Knife Feast returns to Cedar Rapids Restaurant Week

Dec. 6, 2023 5:45 am, Updated: Jan. 23, 2024 5:02 pm
CEDAR RAPIDS — The energetic feast that kicked off Cedar Rapids Restaurant Week in its earlier years has returned.
The Fork and Knife Feast, canceled for the past two years after the pandemic, will return in 2024 to once again serve as the kickoff to the annual event that has blossomed into a 10-day exploration showing off what restaurants in Cedar Rapids and Marion have to offer.
“We are pleased with the interest and enthusiasm from our local restaurant community,” said Jenn Draper, events contractor at the Economic Alliance. “We understand Restaurant Week is extremely impactful to them and is seen as a significant value to the community. We also anticipate Restaurant Week patrons will appreciate the diversity of restaurants and their cuisine options.”
The event, scheduled for Feb. 15, will run from 5:30 to 8 p.m. at EPIC Event Center on 2987 Epic Dr. in Marion. Tickets, available for $75 at cedarrapids.org, include unlimited food and drink samples. With limited capacity, attendees are advised to not wait for purchase tickets.
The feast will feature all of 2024’s participating Restaurant Week restaurants, offering attendees a sample of their culinary concoctions and a glimpse at their Restaurant Week menus and specials. Restaurant Week, with its limited-time dishes and specialty prices at participating establishments, will run from Feb. 16 to 25.
“Local foodies will unite for a high-energy, enticing, aroma-filled evening,” the Cedar Rapids Metro Economic Alliance said in announcing the feast. “They’ll navigate tasting stations, from savory to sweet, of dishes whipped up by participating Restaurant Week establishments.”
