Lester Anthony Williams, 60, of Cedar Rapids, died Saturday, Dec. 2, 2023. Visitation will be from 11 a.m. until noon, Saturday, Dec. 9, 2023, at Brosh Chapel and The Avacentre in Cedar Rapids, located at 2121 Bowling St. SW. Homegoing Services will be noon, Saturday, Dec. 9, 2023, at Brosh Chapel, with burial to follow in Oak Hill Cemetery.
Lester was born June 17, 1963, in Mobile, Ala., the son of Allen and Queenetta (Molette) Williams. He graduated from Cedar Rapids Jefferson High School, Class of 1981. Lester excelled in football, where he earned All-State in high school, and was an All-Big 12 linebacker at Iowa State University.
Lester is survived by his mother Queenetta; his son and his daughter; his siblings Cheryle McGinnis, Debra Hughes, Lorenzo Williams, Donald (Deborah) Williams, Donna (Kevin) Flanagan, and Tynissa Williams; as well as host of nieces, nephews and cousins.
He was preceded in death by his father, Allen Williams.
