Jeffrey Gerard Clark, 61, of Cedar Rapids, Iowa, passed away peacefully at his residence and went to his heavenly home on Dec. 2, 2023. Jeffrey was born on Jan. 21, 1962, in Baton Rouge, La., and his parents were Richard Thomas Clark and Edna Ruth Clark. He was a graduate of Peachtree High School in Georgia. Following graduation he attended Johnson County Community College in Overland Park, Kan., followed by Emporia State University. He married Marilyn Marie (Hollon) Olmstead on April 20, 2002, in Roeland Park, Kan.
Jeff was a former Business Analyst at Transamerica and a Business Analyst at Tata Consultancy Services, both of Cedar Rapids, Iowa. Jeff enjoyed fishing, bowling, fantasy football leagues, and attending his grandchildren’s activities. He was a devoted fan of the Kansas City Chiefs.
Survivors include his wife, Marilyn Clark of the home and children, Jason (Libby) Clark of Spring Hill, Kan., Eric Olmstead of Cedar Rapids, Iowa, and Kaleb Olmstead of Cedar Rapids, Iowa. His grandchildren include Sye Lee Olmstead, Tytan Scott Olmstead, Haylie-Ann Marie Olmstead, Paxton David Clark, Kyra Brie Clark, Breckin Jacob Erbert, Brinley Elizabeth Clark, Maleigh Marie Olmstead, Kamden Michael Olmstead, and Ava Marie Olmstead. Jeff is also survived by his mother Edna Ruth Clark of Dawsonville, Ga., brothers Darrell (Julie) Woodall of Dawsonville, Ga., Carey (Karen) Woodall of Dawsonville, Ga., Brad (Sharon) Woodall of Cataula, Ga., Dan (Shannon) Clark of Roswell, Ga., and sister Brenda (Jay) Binkley of Phoenix, Ariz.
He was preceded in death by his father, Richard Thomas Clark, mother Gloria Marquez Clark, andgrandson, Kylar David Olmstead.
In lieu of flowers, the family has requested donations be sent to Gray Warriors, a non-profit organization that helps those that battle brain cancer. Gray Warriors, 1514 Algonquin Drive, Cedar Falls, IA 50613, (319-404-1348).
A Celebration of Life is being planned for a later date.
