Alyce Joyce Ballard, 90, of Cedar Rapids, passed away on Tuesday Nov. 21, 2023. A gathering will be held on Friday Dec. 1, 2023, at 1:00 p.m. in Cedar Memorial Park Cemetery. Cedar Memorial Park Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
Survivors include her children, Paulette (Eric) Ash of Palo, Vivian Joyce Carder of Cedar Rapids, and Bryan Ballard of Cedar Rapids, one grandchild, 3 great-grandchildren and 5 great-great grandchildren.
She is preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Paul L. Ballard, a daughter, Pat Ballard, granddaughter, Shauna Sharp, son in law, Bruce Carder, daughter in law, Carol Ballard and a granddaughter, Shauna Sharp.
Alyce was born on July 16, 1933, in Ladora, Iowa, the daughter of Lawerence and Garvene (Prichard) Nutt. She married Paul Laverne Ballard on Feb. 7, 2007, in Hannible, Missouri. Alyce was a daycare provider. She enjoyed gardening, baking and loved her pet dogs.
Alyce was a loving mother and will be greatly missed by her family.
