Ray I. Marner IV, 33 of Cedar Rapids, died on Tuesday, Nov. 21, 2023. Celebration of Life: 12 to 3 p.m. on Saturday, Nov. 25, 2023 at The Monarch Room at Teahen Funeral Home.
Ray is survived by his mom, Catherine Marner; father Ray Marner III; brother Sean Hester; three sisters, Michelle (Mark) Ralston, Miranda Cornell and Carolyn (Ryan) Stull; nieces and nephews Alexis Peterson, Megan and Colin Ralston, Quin Cornell, Maya Stull, Aerin Cornell, Colby Hanson, MJ Ralston and Dean Stull.
Ray was preceded in death by his grandparents, brother Mark Wiewel, aunt Caroline Caton and uncle Jon Turnbaugh.
Ray was born on Oct. 1, 1990 in Cedar Rapids, the son of Ray III and Catherine Turnbaugh Marner. He graduated from Jefferson High School in 2009. Ray was a cook at Long John Silvers for 15 years.
Ray was an avid skateboarder who enjoyed taking care of plants, play online video games, listening to music and taught himself to play the guitar. He was a huge Star Wars fan, loved all animals and liked to go to the shooting range. Above all, Ray loved spending time with his family, especially his nieces and nephews. Ray will be remembered for his sweet sense of humor and the way he loved and cared for all.
