Highest Individual Honor the National Scottish-Rite Supreme Council of Masons Bestows for Outstanding Service. The award requires a unanimous approval by the council of the recipient. The award was presented by the head of Iowa Scottish Rite Masons, Gary Sissel, SGIG. Jacobson has served more than 50 years promoting Scottish Rite Masonry in the Cedar Rapids Valley. There are three Iowa Living Grand Cross Recipients, U.S. Senator Charles Grassley, Shane Harshbarger, and William C. Jacobson. He is a retired educator who served in leadership positions in the Cedar Rapids and Marion public schools.
