What has happened to Iowa?

What does Iowa Gov. Kim Reynolds gain by supporting the law requiring abortion to be illegal after six weeks? Does this fit with the GOP stated need for less government?
Reynolds, Attorney General Brenna Bird and Rep. Mariannette Miller Meeks are all women but make no connection with other women, in decreeing that the law should limit female reproductive decisions. Bird's recent application to the Iowa Supreme Court to enforce this limit is out of touch with several other states which have just voted to reject such limitations on abortion.
Could it be that Iowa's increased rate of maternal and, infant death, and the closing of rural hospitals-together with the reduction in obstetric and gynecological services are related? The increase in doulas is welcome but is no substitute for medical services for women and babies. Moms For Liberty did not poll well recently.
This governor sees fit to make SNAP (Food Stamps) harder to qualify for, reduces special services for public school and reduces rural health services. These are all in the name of bigger tax cuts for the wealthy. What has happened to Iowa?
