Tina Marie (Young) Cady, 55, passed away peacefully at her home on Tuesday, Nov. 7, 2023. Private family services will be held. Van Steenhuyse-Teahen Funeral Home, Vinton, is caring for Tina and her family.
Tina was born Oct. 28, 1968 in Cedar Rapids, the daughter of David and Mary (Gott) Young. She graduated from Center Point High School and then attended Kirkwood Community College where she earned a degree in Graphic Arts. Tina was a very talented graphic artist and shared her skills while being employed by the Iowa City Press-Citizen and the Cedar Rapids Gazette.
In her leisure time, Tina enjoyed painting, spending time with her kitties, taking Belle (the family dog) on rides, and making trips to the farm with Mom.
Left to cherish Tina’s memory are her son, Robert (Mariah) Kibbie; mother, Mary Young; three brothers: Scott (Joan) Young, David (Christine) Young and Jim Young.
She was preceded in death by her father, David Young Sr.; daughter, Angel Marie; sister-in-law, Sandra Young; and friend-in-life, Rob Kibbie.
A memorial fund has been established.
