What do you look for in a school board member?
Do you want expanded pathways for students of all abilities? Do you want a school environment that promotes first-class learning experiences for all students? Do you want highly qualified teachers and staff? Do you want effective leadership? Do you want YOUR voice heard? Do you believe your tax dollars should fund public schools?
Then you want Cindy Garlock on the Cedar Rapids School Board! Cindy, a longtime Cedar Rapids resident, taught in the school district for 33 years. She was elected to the school board in 2019 and asks for your vote to re-elect her for a second term. During her first term, she served as the school board’s Vice President and as a legislative liaison. She advocates for local control and for using your public tax dollars for public schools. She also participated in numerous community listening sessions, demonstrating her desire to hear your views. Cindy received a strong endorsement from the Linn County Stonewall Democrats. She believes that all students deserve to be seen, heard, supported, and represented.
