Penny Lee Gaskill, 68 went to be with her heavenly home on Friday, October 20, 2023, due to a short illness with cancer.
Penny was born February 6, 1955, to Richard and Evelyn Nunemaker in Cedar Rapids, Iowa. She was a 1973 graduate of Kennedy High School, went on to attend Kirkwood Community College. In 1975 she moved to Nashville, TN where she worked for a couple of law firms. This is where she met the love of her life Steve Gaskill. They were united in marriage on November 7, 1981, until his passing on September 29, 2020.
Penny and Steve moved to New York in March 1988 to serve at the World Headquarters for Jehovah Witnesses. Later in 2019 they moved to Patterson, New York where they were part of the Design Construction Department which was known as Patterson Bethel. Penny supported very large construction projects for the headquarters facilities in the United States.
Penny and Steve were able to travel to many countries and met so many people who became very good friends of theirs. Penny lived her life to the fullest and was always up for a good time with friends and family.
Penny is survived by her siblings Shirley Jensen (Joe), Diana Clinton (Dennis), Nancy Ormiston (Maynard), Allan Nunemaker (Johnna) and many nieces and nephews.
She is preceded in death by her husband Steve Gaskill, parents, Richard and Evelyn Nunemaker, niece Justine Omar, and great nephews Crue and Bently Atkinson.
Her funeral and burial arrangements will be held in Patterson, New York through Jehovah Witnesses, where she will be buried by her loving husband.
