On Thursday, Oct. 19, 2023, Thomas “TJ” George Johnson, loving husband and father of two sons and two stepdaughters, passed away at the age of 74.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, Oct. 28, at Wesley United Methodist Church in Vinton. Visitation will be held from 4 to 7 p.m. Friday, Oct. 27, at Phillips Funeral Home (212 E. 6th St.) in Vinton and one hour prior to service time at the church. Burial will be held at Evergreen Cemetery, Vinton. A Celebration of Life will follow at the Vinton Legion hall with a meal, donated by the Vinton Cruise committee, to all who wish to join them.
