Forum will present Cedar Rapids school bond information

CEDAR RAPIDS — Members of the community are invited to participate in a free public forum Tuesday, Oct. 24 at the downtown Cedar Rapids Public Library on the proposed $220 million school bond.

The event will feature district representatives, and members of the “vote yes” and opposition groups have been invited to participate. The forum will be hosted by The Gazette, featuring an overview as well as moderated conversation and audience questions about the bond vote, which will appear on the Nov. 7 ballot in the district.

Doors to Whipple Auditorium will open at 5:30 p.m. and the program will run from 6 to 7:30 p.m. Tickets to the event, which are required to attend, are no longer available. The forum will be livestreamed on
