Crooked politicians deserve a fair trial, I guess.

Sen. Bob Menendez, the crook, deserves a fair trial — just as does D.T. Trump, the crook. Having said that, Menendez should resign. Any lingering sense of duty should compel him to save his state, his party and his country the humiliation of having to figure out how to evict yet another political villain. But, the New Jersey senator doesn't have the decency to step down anymore than Trump has the good form to step into the ash bin of history for the good of his country.
