IOWA CITY — Iowa starting offensive lineman Nick DeJong and backup tight end Addison Ostrenga “both have a chance” to play Saturday at Wisconsin, head coach Kirk Ferentz said Tuesday.
“But we'll let the week play out,” Ferentz said. “See what it looks like.”
Running back Jaziun Patterson and cornerback Deshaun Lee are not expected to return this week from their injuries. It will be Patterson’s fourth consecutive game out because of a lower-leg injury. It will be Lee’s second consecutive game on the sidelines.
Wide receiver Kaleb Brown missed last week’s game because of a “personal matter” and “has had two good days” of practice this week, Ferentz said.
He declined to further comment on the nature of Brown’s absence.
“Personal is personal,” Ferentz said. “Not public, it’s personal. Opposite of public.”
Brown does not have any receptions so far this season after transferring in the spring from Ohio State.
