Assignments for 2023 Iowa high school cross country state qualifiers

The Iowa High School Athletic Association and Iowa Girls High School Athletic Union have released assignments for next week’s state-qualifying meets.

Class 4A

(4 p.m., Wednesday, Oct. 18)

Top 3 teams, top 15 individuals qualify automatically*

At Ames — Ames, Ankeny, Council Bluffs Abraham Lincoln, Council Bluffs Thomas Jefferson, Dallas Center-Grimes, Fort Dodge, Iowa City Liberty, Sioux City East, Sioux City North, Sioux City West.

At Iowa City — Ankeny Centennial, Burlington, Cedar Falls, Cedar Rapids Jefferson, Iowa City West, Muscatine, North Scott, Waterloo East, Waukee.

At Marshalltown — Cedar Rapids Washington, Dubuque Senior, Linn-Mar, Marshalltown, Mason City, Urbandale, Waterloo West, West Des Moines Dowling, West Des Moines Valley.
