John Kay Myers, 76, of Toddville, Iowa, passed away on Friday, Oct. 6, 2023, at home surrounded by family. Visitation: 1 to 3 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 12, at the Cedar Memorial Chapel of Memories, with the service immediately following at 3 p.m.
John was born on June 1, 1947, Cedar Rapids, son of Kenneth and Elizabeth (Betty) Myers. He graduated from Washington High School and DeVry Institute of Technology in Chicago. John retired from Square D Company and traveled around the country with his wife, Carol, ending up in Surprise, Ariz., for the winters.
John is survived by his wife of 51 years, Carol; daughters, Jenny (Shayne) Van Dyke of Lisbon and Julie (Ben) Golding of Cedar Rapids; and grandchildren, Cody, Dakota, Kyle, Lukys Van Dyke and Grant, Greyson and Mackenzie Golding.
Memorials in John’s memory can be made to Hospice of Mercy in Cedar Rapids, Iowa, or Hospice of the Valley in Phoenix, Ariz.
