Iowa hosts Penn State to highlight home Big Ten Conference men’s wrestling schedule
Minnesota, Purdue, Penn State and Wisconsin will wrestle at Carver-Hawkeye Arena; Hawkeyes travel to Nebraska, Illinois, Northwestern and Michigan

The Big Ten Conference has announced its schedule for the 2023-24 men’s wrestling season.
A familiar foe highlights University of Iowa’s home conference slate.
Defending NCAA champion and men’s college wrestling rival Penn State will come to Carver-Hawkeye Arena on Feb. 9, according to releases from Iowa and the Big Ten Monday. Minnesota, Purdue and Wisconsin round out the Hawkeyes’ home conference duals.
Iowa hosts Minnesota on Jan. 15 and Purdue on Jan. 19. The Hawkeyes take on the Badgers at home Feb. 18.
The Hawkeyes Big Ten road schedule opens at Nebraska on Jan. 12. Iowa swings through Illinois at the end of January. The Hawkeyes face the Illini on Jan. 26 and competes at Northwestern two days later.
Iowa will compete at Michigan on Feb. 2. The Big Ten Championships will be held March 9-10 at University of Maryland. NCAA Championships will be at the T-Mobile Center in Kansas City, Mo., March 21-23.
The remainder of Iowa’s schedule will be released at a later date.
The Hawkeyes were 15-1 in duals last season, including a 7-1 Big Ten record. Iowa was runner-up at the Big Ten tournament and the NCAA championships. The Hawkeyes’ Real Woods returns after winning one of the team’s two conference titles. Woods is one of six All-Americans from last season, earning NCAA runner-up honors at 141 pounds.
