Republicans deserve nicknames of their own

I can think of a few nicknames I would like to give certain Republican legislators and to Gov. Kim Reynolds after reading the Sept. 19 Gazette story about schools having to ask families to confirm pronouns and nicknames. However, this is a family newspaper.
During the 20 years I was a registered Republican, the party favored less intrusive government. No more. Although, given the reorganization of state government, boards, and commissions now underway, I guess now that goal of limited government applies only for these politicians’ donors and buddies in big business, and forget the needs of most kids, families, educators, and schools.
