Virginia L. Logan, 79, of Oelwein, Iowa, died peacefully on Friday, Sept. 22, 2023, at Living Center West in Cedar Rapids.

Virginia Louise Smith was born June 10, 1944, in rural West Union, Iowa, the daughter of Mark B. Smith, Sr. and Helen Marcella (Hanley) Smith. She was raised in Oelwein and later graduated from high school in Fort Worth, Texas. Virginia was married to Percy Logan on June 14, 1990, in Joliet, Ill. She was a member of the First Baptist Church in Oelwein.
Virginia is survived by her five children, Richard (Joanne) Allen of Texas, John Allen of Phoenix, Ariz., Michael (Jeanie) Allen of Texas, Jim Allen of Iowa and Deborah (Leroy) Dundee of Clarence; many loved grandchildren and great-grandchildren; one brother, Leonard (Karen) Smith of Dysart; three sisters, Peggy (Roger) Ehrke of Marion, Deborah (Steve) Ford of Oelwein and Kathy Roosa of Cedar Rapids; and multiple beloved nieces and nephews.
Virginia was preceded in death by her parents, husband and eight brothers: Mark Jr. (Mary Lou), Paul (Darlene), Ronnie (Laurance), Victor, Patrick (Lori), Jim, Tim and Mike.
