IOWA CITY — Iowa football’s Oct. 7 home game against Purdue will kick off at 2:30 p.m., the team announced Monday morning. It will air exclusively on NBC’s Peacock streaming service.
NBC chose Minnesota-Michigan for its flagship network instead of Iowa-Purdue.
The streaming-exclusive game is a result of the Big Ten’s media rights deal with Fox, CBS and NBC that went into effect this year. Peacock subscriptions start at $5.99 per month.
Purdue is off to a 1-3 start under first-year head coach Ryan Walters. Two of the three losses were by 15 or more points, and the other was to Fresno State at home.
