Charles Thomas Nuechter “Charlie” passed away peacefully on Thursday, Sept. 7, 2023, at Oaknoll Retirement Residence after a sudden illness.
A time for family and friends to gather to celebrate Charlie’s life will be held from 2 to 4 p.m. Sunday, Sept. 24, concluding with remarks at 4 p.m. at Gay & Ciha Funeral and Cremation Service. The family is very grateful for all the genuine friendships and loving care that the Oaknoll staff provided for Charlie. The family requests memorials in Charlie’s name be made to Oaknoll, designated for Rec Therapy. He became part of the staff when he played Santa.
