Summer is finding it’s way to the exit in a short few weeks time. The kids are back in school, and I for one, would like to hold onto as much of summer as possible for as long as I can. Pineapple Angel Food Cake is one easy way to have a piece of summer all year long.
I’m a huge fan of pineapple. It’s acidic, sweet, sour and juicy all in one bite. Such a versatile fruit that you can batter and fry them, sprinkle them on your pizza or even marinade them for the grill. Pairing canned pineapple with angel food cake has to be added to the list.
Pineapple Angel Food Cake is such a simple dessert, but it will leave a lasting impression on your family, guests and friends. You could add vanilla drizzle or whipped cream to make your it even more irresistible. Don’t be afraid to explore flavor combination options. I always encourage you to be creative with flavor combinations that enhance or change the original recipe. For example, you can add toasted coconut into whipped cream to frost your Pineapple Angel Food Cake or you could add rum flavor to your batter. You can even add both for a pina colada flavor effect. Just explore your options.
Whenever you’re in the mood for a yummy treat, try Pineapple Angel Food Cake. It’s a simple two ingredient cake recipe that is versatile and packs a ton of flavor. It will wow at any gathering or dinner. So let’s make your very own version of Pineapple Angel Food Cake.
